Medieval Ecocriticisms is a scholarly group whose purpose is to foster the study of the Middle Ages, construed as broadly as possible across space and time, from environmentally aware perspectives that often breach disciplinary boundaries. Our field is rich and vibrant because of the contributions of a diverse and collegial membership. We embrace diversity and inclusivity in our membership, our modes of inquiry, and in the languages in which we disseminate our work. We respect and affirm the dignity of all of our members. We reject ableism, homophobia, racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination. We aim for transparency in personal and professional interactions and work to foster a welcoming environment and a bias-free community.
